September 2001 Updates

09/29/01 - I haven't updated in quite some time, haven't I? It sucks when there's nothing to update on. When there isn't any PP news, I always try and find something to update on. Yeah, 'cause I'm a dork. Anyway, A Phantom Planet phan. Who went to a show on Friday [09/28/01]. Nifty review.

09/24/01 - Hip hip. I found someone who will buy me AND a friend the Phantom Planet EP. And I found some things while randomly doing a Phantom Planet search on Yahoo. I found a review of yesterday's [Sunday, 09/23/01] show in Nashville, TN. Skipping the American Hi-Fi part, here's the PP bit: "More interesting on the surface is American Hi-Fi's opening act, Phantom Planet. While their 1998 debut was a forgettable romp through power pop clichés (well, they were just barely out of high school), word has it that Phantom Planet's new disc, due in 2002 and produced by the incredibly inventive Mitchell Froom, should reflect the band's evolution into musical maturity. But the band's biggest draw is drummer/founder Jason Schwartzman, who starred in an Oscar-worthy turn as Max Fischer in Rushmore. So don't be surprised when you get there early to see people waiting in line to get their Rushmore DVDs autographed." Why would you go to a PP show to get your Rushmore DVD autographed? Is Missing forgettable? Right. If you want to read the AFH part I got it here.

09/21/01 - One new tour date added. On the 23rd of September (Sunday) at the 328 Performance Hall in Nashville, TN. Source: PPF. Thanks to jocelyn who signed the gbookie!

09/20/01 - On Monday PP was watching MTV and saw an American Hi-Fi tour commercial and it said "With PHANTOM PLANET." Interesting, eh? I got that in a list e-mail thing from Suzanne. Read the tour diaries on Neat stuff. And there's a new show date [I added it to the shows page]. It's on Tuesday, October 9 at Fairchild Theatre in East Lansing, MI. Take care and have fun. Sign the guestbook. Thanks to christine who signed it!

09/18/01 -
The new Phantom Planet EP. Only available at shows. I hope I get mine.

09/16/01 - I re-did the shows page because the tour dates were all messed up. But it's okay now. I forgot to mention yesterday about the new show dates. Actually I mentioned one but there's three. One on September 16th and two in October. Check the page for more information on those. And [I already mentioned this also] there are two new tour dates with American Hi-Fi: one on the 30th of September and the other on October 1st.

09/15/01 - THE NEW LAYOUT IS UP!!! I hope you all like it because I spent so f*cking long on it!!! Some of the stuff still needs to be worked on if you look at the menu but I am so tired from working on it today that I'm going to leave it alone for today. But I hope you like it so sign the guestbook (at the bottom) and give me some love. Or not. There's one new show without American Hi-Fi. And there's two new tour dates but you should go to PPF to see what they are because I don't have them up right now. And don't trust my show dates because they're not right and I need to fix them. This morning Phantom Planet appeared live on 100.1 FM WDST Radio Woodstock at 8:30am!! I got an e-mail from Suzanne about this...did anyone near upstate New York happen to tune in? There was an acoustic set and interview...That's about all for PP news right now. Sounds are up and I believe a new Sam interview is up in the interviews section (under "the band"). Sign the guestbook. Tour diaries are up at and I wish the best to all those of you who had loved ones to worry about on September 11! It's all so sad...

09/11/01 - What a tragic day.

09/07/01 cont. - Oh, yes, I forgot to mention that I will be working on the new layout tonight (or rather Saturday morning since I'm up watching late episodes of Simpsons with my brother) and as I new layout-ize the pages, they won't be displayed on the main menu until the layout is up. And I'll have sounds and new show reviews and whatnot.

09/07/01 - I hang my head in shame as I once consider myself to be a bad web dudette. I always always forget to check my e-mail account that my PP news come in! Darn damn shite. I apologize and I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me. Well, now that that is said, I have to move on to the Phantom Planet news that I have for you people (but you may have heard already). The live EP is out! But the bad part of it is that it's not for sale in stores or online! Poop. It's only available on tour at the shows. And if you're a member of the fanclub then whip it out to Suzanne at the merchandise booth and you'll get it for one dollar. That's out of the question for me so if anyone would be so kind and pick one up for little 'ol me? I'll pay for it and shipping through snail mail. So e-mail me if you love me enough (although I already posted in the Yahoo! Phantom Phamily Club and the Phantom Planet Messageboards). Oh, the tour is now named by Alex and is called "Funeral Tour 2001." Nifty. If you want to meet the band, Suzanne's working on a meet and greet for tour shows and supposedly, there's something more for fanclubbers. And there's going to be autograph signings and whatnot. You can still e-mail the guys and snail mail will be sittin' in a pile waiting to be read by them. Phantom Planet left for tour two days ago (the 5th), there's exclusive tour merchandise (displayed on Phantom Planet Family) and they'll be back October. I'm going to miss them. Even though I've only seen them once I'm still going to miss them.

09/01/01 - One new show date added. On September 7 in Illinois. That's it for PP news, so here's some layout news and whatnot. I broke my promise on getting the new layout up. I'm a bad web dudette [I really should get working on getting it done]. But I got a ton of homework on the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. God, I hate my Spanish teacher. Wowie zowie, I'm a junior this year and yesterday we had a very pointless pep rally. And I DON'T want to go to the homecoming dance coming up but my friend Jason dude might want to go with me. If I have to dress for it, the hell with it. And please...don't call Jason dude my boyfriend. Oh, but how was the City Walk show? I bet it was kickin' so e-mail me about it.
