I first joined PP when I was 15 and just starting high school. I wasn't good at sports. I wasn't good looking. I got good grades. I wasn't popular and I wasn't cool. PP was a group of guys who were going through the same confusing bullsh*t that I was going through, bonded together by our strong love for and affinity toward music. Who knew it would actually go anywhere?
I have a love-hate relationship with recording. It can be the best of times, it can be the worst of times. If recording is the work, then playing live is the reward. It's great and I have yet to experience anything like it. Onstage I can go nuts...and let out so much of the energy I seem to keep inside all of the time. It's like and explosion of emotion A catharsis, if you will. I also enjoy entertaining people. I like seeing other cities and playing for and meeting new people. LA is a great place, but traveling across the country helped give me some perspective. The show we played in Bakersfield has so far reigned at the top. We were asked to replace Eve 6 as the opening band for 3rd Eye Blind. We arrived just before doors opened and had a quick sound check. The crowd was awesome, the sound was awesome, the stage was awesome. It was simply...awesome.

What's the worst thing that ever happened to you?
Middle school

The best?
Graduation

Favorite places you've visited?
New York, Hawaii, Israel, the U.K.

Favorite cereal?
Apple Jacks

What do you think about when you play live?
Good question. I'll pay more attention next time.

The best and worst thing about girls?
The pain they cause.

If you could be someone for a day, who would you be?
Moses or Jesus

If you weren't doing this what would you be doing?
"this" as in the questions or "this" as in the band?

What gives you inspiration?
Girls. Well, I usually get my creative queues from my emotions. And girls, although other things do inspire me as well, tend to push the right emotional buttons to get me working.

Favorite piece of clothing?
A polish winter hat that was given to me by my father, which was given to him by his father, may he rest in peace. Its warm, fuzzy and means a lot to me.

Favorite films?
That's a good question. I love movies and I have a long list of films that I can recite word for word. Here are a few: Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, The Return of the Jedi, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Goonies, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, Schindler's List, Airplane, Vacation, European Vacation, Xmas Vacation, Back to the Future, etc...

Any near death experiences?
I went mountain climbing once with a friend of mine in the Angeles National Forrest about 12 years ago. We had no helmets, no tools and no safety equipment. At one point, I was climbing a very steep portion of the mountain and nearly slipped and fell to a rocky valley floor.

What musicians do you admire?
Jimi Page and the rest of Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, all of Radiohead, the Beach Boys--more specifically: Brian Wilson, the Beatles, etc...
